Our subsidiary Booth Industries has taken a major step forward in its HS2 sliding door production, introducing a new Yaskawa Europe Motoman AR3120 welding robot with indexer to automate the welding of the High Speed Two Ltd (HS2) sliding door skeleton.
What previously required around 10 hours of manual welding can now be completed in just 25 minutes, delivering a significant improvement in efficiency while also enhancing the consistency and quality of the welding process.
Alongside the installation of this advanced automated technology, the Booth Industries team is undertaking specialist training with support from Yaskawa as they continue to build capability in advanced automated manufacturing.
This investment highlights how our businesses are adopting new technologies to improve productivity, strengthen manufacturing capability, and support the delivery of critical infrastructure projects.
